Update to the Covid-19 situation from Dr Jai Kumar & Dr Ben McGrath dated 20th November 2020.
The Department of Health has recently relaxed the rules around wearing masks. Patients are welcome to wear one when attending our practice but mask wearing is no longer a requirement. We continue to maintain social distancing within the practice.
A big thank you to all our patients who have understood and complied with the changes that had to be enforced to keep everyone as safe as possible. While many countries in the rest of the world have suffered catastrophic infection rates, the steps that the Australian Government has implemented and people are complying with, have led us to a far better outcome (at this point) than initially anticipated. We recognise that there is still a long way to go in this pandemic and we will still be conducting the majority of patient consultations via Telehealth – either by video conferencing or phone calls.
The government has now eased the restrictions relating to elective surgery. Please refer to the Department of Health website for further information as it becomes available.
Dr Kumar and Dr McGrath will continue to monitor the Covid situation and will continue to instigate protocols required to keep our patients, staff and families safe during this time.
